My Experience With Lora DiCarlo Sway

I was definitely skeptical at first. After being so disappointed by the Filare, I was worried this double-ended heating wand was making promises it couldn’t deliver. I am more than happy to admit I was wrong here — the effect it had blew my mind!

Bring the heat!

The Vibes

Lora DiCarlo describes the vibrations as medium strength and rumbly, and I would say that’s a pretty accurate description. Double the fun?

The Sway has two ends — one designed for external stimulation and one for internal use, although both can be used for either purpose. Design

The Sway has a dual ended design — a slightly slimmer one with a bulbed tip that has a raised stimulation point on it, which I love to use for direct clitoral stimulation or tracing around the outside of my clitoris. The other side has a slightly wider, angled tip designed more with the g-spot or p-spot in mind. Even though I didn’t enjoy the g-spot end so much, I’m still a fan of the dual ended design, as it makes this toy a lot more versatile. It comes in a lovely deep, almost teal, blue color, which I think looks really beautiful and the whole design is very gender neutral.

Ease of Use

As the Sway has so many different functions to control, there’s a bit of a learning curve to working out the four buttons, and you’ll definitely need to read the instructions before getting started. The large central button is the power button and also functions as the charge indicator. There are two vibration buttons that control the vibrating motor in each end of the toy, so you can control each end separately. The vibration button controls the vibration on the opposite end of the toy, so it’s easier to change the settings during use. Each button allows you to scroll through the 7 intensity settings and 3 patterns of vibration. I’m not a massive fan of having to scroll through, but you can use the power button to return the lowest setting. There is also a heating button that turns on the heating function in both ends of the toy. I really like that the buttons light up, especially the warming button, as it shows when the toy is in the process of heating up.

Quality

Overall, the Sway feels like the luxurious, quality vibrator you would expect from Lora Dicarlo. The silicone is lovely and soft, the vibrations are consistent and the there’s nothing that rattles around. It’s a pretty quiet vibrator as well, only getting up to around 40 dB with both ends vibrating at maximum power. The only thing I did notice is that the silicone feels a bit thin and loose so you can feel it separate from the main body, but this doesn’t affect the usage in any way. The Sway comes with a one-year manufacturing warranty. Make sure to activate your warranty card that comes with the Sway just in case anything does go wrong.

Price

Lora DiCarlo is a luxury sex toy brand that comes with a high price tag, but in this case, I would say it’s worth it! You are essentially getting two toys in one and you can use it in so many different ways! The heating technology is just fantastic and adds so much more pleasure! Also, you really get a luxury experience from start to finish with this toy, and the little details like the charge indicator light and beautiful yellow storage bag are the cherry on top!

Performance

The Sway’s vibrations are decently rumbly, and are pretty powerful on the higher settings. I would say they are well matched to the toy, in that I don’t necessarily want crazy strong, knock your socks off vibrations with the heating function — it’s much nicer to enjoy the slow build. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quickly the Sway heats up and how the heat disperses from both ends. It’s also pretty quiet even on the higher vibration settings. I also love that the charge indicator will flutter when you have less than 5 minutes charge remaining — so helpful if you aren’t great at remembering to charge your sex toys! The charge life is reasonable considering it vibrates and heats.

Packaging

It’s no secret that Lora DiCarlo products are an unboxing experience! The Sway comes beautifully presented in a study book-style box with a slip cover. Inside, the box opens up to reveal the Sway on one side and the charger, manual, and cheerful yellow storage bag on the other. While I do love the look of the box, it does use a lot of materials.

Materials and care

The Sway is waterproof and covered in medical-grade silicone, making it nice and easy to care for. You can either use a fragrance-free soap or sex toy cleanser and some warm water to clean the Sway before and after each use. Also, make sure to clean in the textured areas of the buttons to make sure it all gets a good clean! You should also only use water-based lubricant to protect the toy’s materials.

Special feature

The Lora DiCarlo Sway’s special feature has to be it’s warming function! It heats to a pleasant 104° F, which might not sound like a lot but it really has an amazing effect! The heat increases blood-flow to wherever you use it, bringing enhanced arousal and sensitivity, and enhancing the effect of the vibrations.
